Shredder95 is a tool for permanently deleting files from your hard drive so that they become unrecoverable.
Shredder95 is the is a tool for removing sensitive data. If you use Windows Explorer or DOS to delete files, the operating system simply changes the first letter of the filename and allocates the area where the file`s data was stored to be available to store other data. That`s why data retrieval programs such as Norton Disk Doctor and Norton UnErase are able to recover all or some of the data in your files.
Shredder95 works by not only overwriting the data so that it even frustrates physical magnetic sensors, but also removes all other hints or traces of the file. No part of the original file remains, not even its name.
Shredder95 has an easy-to-use interface drag and drop interface. Features include: the option to include subdirectories in shredding operations, processing of read-only files, an automatic mode, and password settings. |
